I have a small Christmas display that was using (12) ESP8266 wifi boards with WLED. It worked OK but it was a pain to get all boards connected outdoors to the WIFI every night. This year I purchased the F48V4 and (2) Smart Receiver V2 boards believing this would handle the (12) strings. I configured the Board for "8 Smart Receiver Chains" so that I could control 750 pixels on a port. This works, but it appears that I cannot use the on-board smart receiver connected to ports 45-48. If this is true, I screwed myself because apparently there are no more Smart Receiver boards to purchase. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for response darylc. Not what I wanted to hear but happy to have a resource out there.

I received this in an email from support@pixelcontroller.com: "when in 32 port mode it actually uses 1-16 and 33-48. The reason we did that is the onboard A remote is tied to the last 4 ports so in order for them to still work in 32 port mode we had to skip the middle 16 ports".

This suggests to me that the onboard  A port should be available, although I'm not using it myself so I can't confirm that.

I was using ports 1 to 17 in 32 port mode and I was getting no output on port 17. When I moved the cable from the 17-20 jack to the 33-36 jack, I got the expected output.

Note that xLights only shows you ports 1 to 32 (controllers table, Visualize button) when you specify the controller is in 32 port mode (4+4 Smart Receiver Chains), but it seems to create the correct fseq. In my case I put a prop on port 17 in xLights, but physically connected it to port 33 on the controller/receiver combination and a simple test sequence on that prop showed as expected.

Thanks for the update. I'll give it a try and report back. I only bought (2) Smart Receivers and could use the onboard outputs.

Just a quick update.

Thanks to CrescentLights message, I was able to use the FV48 onboard outputs in 32 port mode. I set Ports 29-31 as a Smart Receiver and configured as usual and it worked.
