xLights in Fedora 40

Hello everyone, been busy with other projects, getting back to this year's xmas show...tried installing xLights version 2024-14 on ubuntu 22.04, xLights wouldnt even open, then tried a fresh install of Fedora 40, that didnt happened, in the Readme,linux file in github, xLights 2024-14 was tested in Fedora 38, so I did a fresh install of Fedora 38, followed the instructions, and try to compile, always get and error, lua5.3.pc package not found, went back to Fedora 40 and got almost the same error while compiling see screenshot, I like Linux but I have limited knowledge of the command line only basic commands...thanks, any help would be great...

Making little progress, went back to Fedora 38, may have resolved missing lua53.pc missing file, in /lib64/pkgconfig directoty renamed lua.pc to lua53.pc, might not be the correct way, but I dont get that error at compiling, running make makes it past line 1669 of xLights.cbp.mak, now the error is at line 2506...which for me is like running full speed at a brick wall, anyone out there have any ideas that can help, much appreciated, thanks see screen shot...
