My PI3 keeps changing the output port from ttyUSB to ttyamao, why? I stop and restart the FPPD as directed but it goes back to TTYAMAO. I have unplugged everything, changed USB cables, rebooted the pi, but I'm still not able to keep the setting, please help!

What do you have plugged into the port? Is it perhaps "slow" to be recognized during the scan?

Only a thumb drive and USB cable for the controllers. Also I forgot to add, when I save the settings it reverts back to TTYAMAO.

Go to the FPP Troubleshooting Commands page and scroll down until you find the 'lsusb' section and see if you see your USB device listed.
