Hello I need help for my sequence of this year. When I started my new sequence on xLights early this year think went as usual  OK, but after a few weeks of works when I saved my work Xlights save my file with .xsq extension and not .fseq as usual. I did'n't care at this time because I thought it was due to new releases for Xlights  and  FPP, so I updated my FPP to 7.2  but as I try to load my sequence to FPP it is impossible as FPP accept only .fseq file.
Does someone understand what happened, and can give me a way to convert my .xsq file to .fseq file so I could load my work on my Pi 4. I have a Mcbookpro.
Thank for your help
Best regards from France

Did you render then Save?

When you set up xLights did you tell it to same the fseq files in a different folder?

The xsq files are what xLights uses then creates a fseq file from that when rendered.

jnealand

xsq is the recipe (program file) and fseq is the final product (compiled code)

Hi
I don't really know what was the change, as when I began my work on Mai, xlights save my sequence as usual(I didn't change any thing since the moment I set up xLights on my computer in 2021, I prepared my 2021 and 2022 sequence on it with no Pb), then I don't know exactly at what moment it happened, I realised as I progressed in my work , I could find my latest sequence updates (it was in August or September)there were no .fseq file in my folder. I open a second sequence with.fseq (as when I prepare a sequence I save 3 time) of course it was not updated and when I saved the .fseq disappeared in the folder and a .xsq was there. I think I may have made a wrong action at a time . Now from your answers it seems that xlights save the .fseq files in an other folder, my question is How to find it, I'm just a basic user of computers and I'm not well to do such research. If any help I'll appreciate. . Hope you can understand what I mean my English is a little bit limited

Thank you all for your help

Best regards from France

It only saves it in a different folder if you told it to otherwise it will be in your show folder.
