Testing with FPP

So getting back into the groove of things.  I thought you could do this in the past maybe not...(been out of the game for two years).

Got FPP (8.4) on a pi with a Falcon PiHat and a Falcon F4.  Testing of pixels on the pihat works great through FPP Testing.  Testing of Pixels on the F4 through the test on the F4 interface works great.  I have E.131 setup on the FPP (just did 10 universes to test).  When I do the FPP test selecting all channels vs just local I can't get the F4 to respond.  Status on the F4 I don't see data coming in.  Have to be missing something stupid.  Any help would be appreciated.

You have the e1.31 universes setup on the INPUTS page, not the Outputs.

Like Dan mentioned, that is your problem. Just to clarify, the Inputs page tells FPP what channels it is supposed to "listen" for. And if some other function requires action on those channels then take the appropriate action.
The Outputs page is where you tell FPP to send relevant data to the appropriate output. In this case, you want to send some data to the F4? So you need to tell FPP to OUTPUT that channel data.

You might want to consider using DDP, it is a newer, more efficient protocol, but is way easier to manage.

I see that you have the E1.31 configure in the F4 (This is the Inputs equivalent) But are the ports configured with the same channel numbers?

But the problem is I don't have e1.31 on the outputs page just the pihat.  Back in the day it was just on the one page so thats why I assumed.  Guess the problem is now, why I don't have it on the outputs page.  See my screenshot.

Turn on the Advanced level UI in settings.  By default, if there is a string cape installed, it assumes it's purpose is the string cape and will not display the e1.31 and panel pages to avoid confusing most people with options that are not normally used in that scenario.

Perfect that was it and its working now for me now.  Testing on a Pihat and an BBG with a F8.  Thank you!!!
