F16V4 Differential Expansion Board Ports

I'm looking to expanding my F16v4 to allow for more ports.  It's my understanding that if I use the smart 4-string differential smartReciver each receiver will take up a single port on the Controller.  So if I chain 6 smartRecivers it was use up 6ports on the Controller using 6 out of the 16ports.  Is it possible to add F16V4 Differential Expansion Board to add more ports to the controller? or do I need to use a F16V4 Expansion Board to add more ports to the controller?  I plan on using smartrecievers to connect different light sequences/locations and connecting data through ethernet with separate power supplies for each area.  I plan on using the local ports for my mega tree and anything extra to run with smartrecievers.

Any help would be great.  Thank you

the differential expansion adds a total of 16 ports to the controller.  Each of the 4 rj45 jacks represents 4 ports on the controllers. Example the 1st jack would be port 17-20, the 2nd 21-24, the 3rd 25-28, and the 4th one 29-32.  each receiver has 4 ports on it that correspond accordingly. If you daisy chain receivers using the smart mode, then you get more physical connections but not more 'ports' on the controller... Example the 1st port of receiver A + 1st port of receiver B + 1port of receiver C all share the pixel count of the controller port based on the rj45 jack it is plugged into.  So if this 'chain' of receivers are plugged into the 1st rj45 jack, then they will be 17a, 17b, and 17c... The sum of which is the total pixel count on the port.

You can do that as well.
