F48V4-NS - 32 Port Mode onboard receiver cant be used?

Hi, 
I have a F48V4-NS and it has a local smart controller with 4 ports. The onboard ports are labelled 45 - 48.  Does anyone know if I set it to 32 port mode (so I can get 1024 pixels per port) I can only use ports 1-32 therefore the onboard port is redundant.

I would like to use the onboard receiver but not one of the other ports. Is this possible?

32 mode I beleive uses the top row and the bottom row of ports despite the numbering so that you can use the onboard receiver.
