Not really FPP related but may help some people trouble shoot if they come here looking for answers.  This past season I was having trouble with on of my PI's It was a Pi 4 (dont recall version of fpp) it became very intermittent.  Did all the normal troubleshooting with no good results.  Replaced the Pi with a 3b+ thinking the 4 could have been dying.  Finished the season no problem.  Onto post season, setting up a brand new pi 4 and experienced similar issues.  eventually got things setup and working so began some testing.  a few days not problem, today (not changing anything the last two weeks) not working, wireless working no problem no wired ethernet.  Did normal troubleshooting cables etc. Put a Pi3 back inline and worked perfectly.  Did a little digging online, apparently the Pi4's experience intermittent connection with some cisco routers and of course the only thing I didn't check as it had worked on all other devices.  pulled out a small Linksys router and viola both PI4's now working.  I was able to duplicate creating the problem several times and each time I went back to the linksys I had no issues.  So for those of you that may com across this issue this may help you narrow down your problem.

Were you supplying the Pi 4 with enough power? Then need significantly more power than the 3B and I have seen many strange problems that were resolved with the correct power supply.
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

Yes it worked fine for about 2 weeks.  (initially upon setup it was intermittent) today nothing changed and it didn't work.  Powering via PiCap v2 from a meanwell ps

We have seen a LOT of the PiCaps that do NOT supply enough current to effectively run a Pi 4 even though the PSU is more than large enough.

Thanks, I didn't know that.  I will say that it did work with the other switch after changing back and forth several times.  However I will investigate this a little further.  I did do a search online and found others having problem with cisco switches and I confirmed I was also experiencing the same issues.  I did try powering the pi with a known working wall-wart that came with the other pi4 I had and it behaved the same way so i ruled that out.
