F48 32 port mode?

Hi All,

I am trying to figure out how to get more pixels out of my 2.0 receivers from the F48v4. I understand the 700 pixel limit when using all 48 ports, however I am currently only using ~24 ports. From the product description, I should be able to use ~1000 pixels per port in this configuration (with all the power injection considerations.) Am I missing an obvious configuration adjustment? Thanks in advance!

Here is the bit I mentioned.

Number of ports
48 Ports.
All ports can use any of the 98,304 channels this controller can receive as a start address.
Each string can be independently configured for null nodes, zigzag, forward/reverse, node type, pixel count , grouping etc...

Pixels per port
1024 maximum per port when in 32 port mode. 704 maximum per port when in 48 port mode.

If you are daisy-chaining smart receivers, the port max is for the chain, not each smart port.

For example, if you put a smart receiver chain on ports 17-20, then:
Receiver A has ports 17A,18A,19A,20A
Receiver B has ports 17B,18B,19B,20B
Receiver C has ports 17C,18C,19C,20C

17A+17B+17C all count towards the pixel limit for "port 17".  In other words, A+B+C adds up to your pixel limit per port

Thanks for the reply. I am not currently daisy chaining, so I don't think those limitations apply for my situation. Currently trying to get 1024 pixels out of each port on the first receiver, just 1-4. I have 5 total receiver boards.

So what exactly is not working?  Do you physically have one string of 1024 pixels and it only lights up the first 700?   Give us a little more details please.

Within the Falcon port configuration, I am only able to enter 700 for a pixel count for port 1. Entering any number greater than that makes the entry field red. I will be getting a Monster Matrix from Boscoyo and wanted to power it from one port on the receiver board. Not a huge deal if I can't, but want to make sure I am not missing anything obvious to be able to take advantage of the spec'd allowances. Ideally I would be using 9 strings of 100 with power injection all coming off port 1. Please let me know if more detail would be helpful. This is my first year and initial setup.

Thanks!

To set the board into 32 port mode, on the main web interface screen, change the drop down from "12 smart receiver chains" to "8 smart receiver chains"

Genius, thank you so much for the help! I completely missed this dropdown.

Question about this. When I switch to 8 smart receiver chains in settings, I change in xlights to 4+4 variant too.  However, if i wanted to use the built in ports, it shows red in Xlights.  How can I use the built-in ports and also switch to 8 smart receiver chains? *hope that made sense*  I am planning for Christmas.
Thanks
