Ethernet ports stopped communicating with pc

I have an F16V3 which has worked flawlessly for the past several years. This past Saturday, however, the ethernet ports stopped communicating. All was well, I could see ui on pc, started xlights to run my sequence and nothing happened, went back to ui of falcon and connectivity was lost. Networking configuration was not changed. At approximately the same time the OLED started getting dim. After a bit of research, this seems to be fairly common, but was able to swap displays from another controller so I could see what I was doing. Anyway, I have performed a hard reset and reset all networking parameters back. I am running controller on static 192.168.0.151, and pc is 192.168.0.1 with mask at 255.255.255.0 . I have confirmed the port on laptop as well as cables are good, with another F16V3 controller set up identical accept static ip 192.168.0.150. I have verified power voltage at both V1 and V2 at 11.9vdc. Outputs do as expected during test mode, just can't access pc for sequences or xlights.
The only time the status lights on the ports do anything is when booting controller with cable connected to pc at controller initial boot. After that I get nothing.
I wouldn't think both ports would fail at the same time, especially when I only use one of them(neither work now).
Is there anything else I can troubleshoot or replace on my own, or is this something to reach out to David Pitts about?

Thanks

You have completed all the troubleshooting I would do myself.  I am not familiar with the FCv3 ... the specs show it is capable of wireless, have you tried connecting wirelessly?

I would contact Dave on this one.  It sounds like a bad regulator and that is way past the average DIY diagnosis or repair.

Try setting your board up for 5v via the switches or jumpers and power it with 5v.  That will bypass the 12v to 5v regulator and rule that out as a problem.  The first thing to stop working when there are power issues is the network typically.

skyjumpr

I will give that a shot and report back.
Thanks!

Changed the power setup for 5v and no change. lights on rj45 connectors still light up only during boot up with cat5 cable connected to pc. But no connectivity.

Can you ping that IP address with both the controller connected and not connected. This would check to see if by chance something on your network is already using that IP.

You can also try swapping those two controllers IP addresses around.

I have not tried pinging, however I have tried the working ip with the controller that can't connect and I get the same result.

Have you looked inside the jack to make sure the wires are all positioned correctly? I once had a controller where one of the wires got out of place inside the jack.

Yes I have checked that, and it doesn't matter which jack I use, the same result. The wires look to be in good shape, not shorted between each other and no corrosion.

Out of curiosity have you tried making it DHCP and plugging it into your router or network switch? Admittedly I have never plugged a controller into a PC directly.
I totally understand the same setup works with another controller just fine so I don't doubt it works.
