Can't get MIDI plugin to install

Jim Mc

Hi,
I'm trying to get the MIDI plugin to work. I tried on 7.2, and it failed. So I just downloaded 7.4 and tried again. Everything is functioning normally after initial installation, then when I install the FPP MIDI plugin, and I get errors during installation (below). After those errors, FPP thinks that the MIDI plugin is installed. But FPPD won't start any more until I remove the Plug-in.

There appears to be a fairly recent bug report on Github that matches (https://github.com/FalconChristmas/fpp-midi/issues/6).

I just don't have any experience in this to know how long bugs like this take to resolve. So if the normal timeframe is going to be a while, I'm wondering if there might be a workaround so I can keep building out my project. Maybe there's an older FPP version that I could install that would still work with the currently installable MIDI plug-in? Or maybe someone has a different workaround?

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Jim
