This is my first Christmas show project so I'm needing some help on how to wire up my gutters and eves. I'm thinking about spitting the house up in 3 sections left, middle, right. I've added a janky draw-up of how I'm wanting it. Controllers a kulp16 a-b. I've got the items for power injection. Any input will be appreciated.

Looks like a good plan. Would be slightly more interesting if you did the verticals inside the window frame and don't forget the door!

K-State Fan

Looks good.  I do not use any power injection so my thought process will not help you there. I would try to plan for the future though. That gable end over the porch would be a good place for a high density prop.

With my 3d printer (everyone should have one of them) I've printed off 2 singing bulbs, 5 snowflakes, and plan on some candy canes. I've made some leaping arches and plan to do a mega tree. Now in xlights, it doesn't matter if one strands vertical and then gets tied a prop and then gets tied into a horizontal run. That can all be programmed that way right. Hate to start doing something and it be completely wrong. 😑

Just an update. So ended up doing this plan. Power injector on the left side supplying 6 ports, power injector on the right supplying another 6 ports. Controllers under the left side of the pourch. Next year I want a matrix in the middle of the big window, mega tree, odds and ends to fill out the house.

A terminology note.  The outputs on a pixel controller should not be called "channel".  Better term is output or port.  Each output will have many channels.  Referring to a pixel controller output as a channel will only cause confusion.  Note that for us who have been doing this for years, we know what you meant, but beginners will read it and get confused.

What printer do you have? These singing bulbs look pretty large. Do you print them in sections and then glue them together?

Petrey

I have an elegoo Neptune 3 max. You don't need a large printer for the bulbs. They are in sections and just snap together. Print them in petg. They can be found here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4812039
He has several props on there. The snowflakes are a bit on the large side. Printer has come in handy several times.

I don't know what k6cc is talking about. Looks like I said ports to me  ;D

After you edited your message.  See what I quoted - you said channel.
Thanks for correcting (and learning).

I started off with a little one years ago then moved up to the big boy. It has come in handy a lot. I've already printed both a 16 and 20 strand tree topper for my trees. Printing the star topper for them now. You can find Petg filament for 13 bucks 1kg spool from Amazon. I highly recommend one if you're into tinkering.

That is awesome info.  My main problem right now is trying to figure out which printer to get.  Not an easy choice between reviews and prices etc.  Just not sure yet.
