Bad Pixel? Cannot get Pixel string to turn on when running display test

I have a string of 2811 Pixels I was trying to test using the display test feature and it won't light at all. I tried another string on the same port and it's fine, so I know it's not the port or the controller.

Now one thing I did notice is that the first pixel on the "bad" string got hot so I don't know if there is something wrong with this one pixel and it's causing the rest of the string to fail?  Or if it's something else?

If it matters, I'm running a Kulp K16A-B controller.

It is likely a bad first pixel,

Or you could be connected to the end of the string.
