I probably know the answer to this but I am hoping someone has an idea.  One of my controllers is a k16ab  I bought as prebuilt from holiday lighting.  Wired it works fine. I want to put it out where I do to want to run an ethernet cable.  I have a usb wireless adapter from Kulp lights.  My problem is there is no access to the USB port on the BBB.  It is on the underside and the space between it and the mounting plate is too small.  I took the controller off and there is not enough room to plug in an extension cable.  I think to get this to work I will have to cut the acrylic mounting plate back far enough to get a USB extension cable to fit or just run a 100 ft cable.  I tried a right angle adapter but it hit the power supplies below.  IF I could find a USB extension cable when the plus was maybe 1/2" long it would fit but i have yet to find one like that. Any other ideas out there?

In my case, I have 16 port controllers from multiple vendors, so I would just use a different controller.  YMMV

I have a bunch of these BBB controllers.

Can you increase the space between the BBB and the mounting plate with a longer spacer and screw?
