Having an issue with the controller not outputting lights from xlights.

Using a laptop. Have f16 v3 and the new f16 v5 daisy chained.

Original set up was multicast using individual start channels. Then tried setting up unicast with IP addresses. We can open the webpage and upload. Takes everything. The green dot is on. When I check packets received it shows it is receiving them. Did this with both set ups. If you use the test button on the board the lights work. This is just the f16v5 with the issue. Everything on the V3 fires like it's supposed to.

After rearranging everything our show is up and running. But looking to figure this out for next year at this point. Also I do not have the controller with me.

How are they connected? Directly to your laptop? Is there anything else in mix, like a switch or router or FPP?

And where were you configuring this? Screenshots help us make sure we understand what you are doing so that we can give you the correct advice. But this doesn't sound like the best method.

Again a screenshot would be a huge help to make sure we give you the correct advice.

But this only means that it is receiving some sort of data, not if it is valid or empty data.

Not a problem, we just need all the information.

But that can make it a little difficult? Do you have access to it?

If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

All hardwired no network or fpp. Run from the laptop. Ran from laptop to f16 v3. Then from f16v3 to f16 v5. Daisy chained controllers. Tried running to f16 v5  first and by itself with the same result

Was being set up under controller option. Had a local light friend that runs multiple controllers come over and helped convert to IP address and unicast when I brought the laptop back with me last weekend .

The original controller worked fine set up both ways. So I'm pretty sure it's set up correctly. But for some reason the F16 v5 isn't pulling the information.needed to fire the lights.

Not sure if it matters but when they were setting up the controller before I went down, he was inputting the string ports and  the shade to the left of the numbers changed to red. That was for port 1-16. The shade for ports 17-32 is green. I think it just differentiates the main string port and the long range. Everything I did with the ports 1-16 stayed shaded red to the left. I'll see if they can send me a screenshot shot if what I'm talking about.

Long story short I'm helping the people out that bought our show 2 years ago. They are about 2 hours away.I go down and help to make sure it's up and running. They bought the new controller to run the tunnel they added.
