Hi all,

I'm trying to overlay multiple videos in the falcon player (version 8.0). does anyone know how to do this? i tried some stuff with the pixel overlay and it only works with an image on top of a video. Im using a raspberry 3b+.
Anyone has an idea how to accomplish this?

I would suggest doing this in your video file before trying to play it in fpp

Wessel

Thanks for your reply! my goal is to have 1 dynamic layer. so the content changes and gets uploaded while the playlist is playing and on top of that I want to have a video overlay layer. Is this possible in falcon player?

Not with multiple video files, no.  Perhaps with a virtual matrix where you sequence it with xlights and do some basic text overlaps using fpp commands. Of course lots of downsides in that way, either lower resolution or huge rendering times in xlights.  FPP is not aimed to be a generic video player, it is primarily playback software for light shows.

@Wessel this video was released today which shows the overlay things I'm referring to - it will only work though if you are playing fseq files from FPP, not mp4 directly, although mp4's can be encoded inside fseq files with xlights to an extent.
