Projection Control Hex Question

I have a RICOH PJ WXL4541 projector and want to control it over RS232 with Falcon Player Projector Control. The problem I'm having is that when I capture the IR code from the remote I end up with a 7 digit Hex code not 8(Bit). How do I make a custom code to turn off my projector?
