I can now create a sequence in xlights, save it to my fpp and it runs.
I had been running an older version of FPP, (ver 4?). it had the option to play in Bridge mode. That way I could make changes to  sequence and run  it directly from xlights.

.
I have upgraded my FPP   ver 6.How do I go to Bridge Mode using  ver 6. It no longer shows the option to run in Bridge mode.
How can I run a sequence directly from xlights in Bridge mode in ver6.

Bridge mode was a bit of a misnomer. Bridge isn't really a mode but more of a functionality.

Just a FYI, running directly from xLights should only be for testing purposes and might not be smooth. But to allow FPP to process the data from xLights, you just need to enable the inputs. Don't make any other changes on that page.

You typically do not want to play lights using xlights and FPP Player both.  Even if you are not using them at the same time, both systems will try to grab the same resources and not release them correctly.  This often ends with lights not playing as expected, or even at all.

Is the xlights workstation and PiCap controller on the same network?  If your xlights machine is on your home network, and the PiCap on a separate "display" network, you might be looking for a a feature called "IP Forwarding".  I am not aware of any formal documentation for the PiCap.  The product support page has been saying the manual is "Coming Soon" for years now.  You could hop in the xlights zoom room for assistance.  Otherwise, you may need to post more details about your system for others to help.

This might help?

xLights is a sequencing program and is not efficient at being a Player. You really need to use a Player and that would be xSchedule or FPP.
