Hello, i have an Alphapix 4 running my 70 rgbw spotlights via dmx Rs485 Port.

My Spotlights are built using a Cree XML RGBW LED and a Dm-101 DMX512 Constant Current Decoder as the Driver.

Each spotlight has 4 channels and the way i set it up is as following:

  • Spotlight 1: RGB are channels 1,2 and 3 and W is channel 4
  • Spotlight 2: RGB are channels 5,6 and 7 and W is channel 8
  • Spotlight 3: RGB are channels 9,10 and 11 and W is channel 12
and so on...

so channels 4,8,12,16,20,24, etc... Are whites. what i would like to achieve is to ignore those "White channels" when i'm using the online display testing color picker.

These spotlights are part of my house lighting all year long and sometimes i like to use the online color picker to change all the spotlights live. The problem i have is that if i use this color picker with all the channels including whites i don't get good results (when i try to set some colors like for example Red, the whites turn on too) so that's not good hehehe.

Is there a way around? I'm thinking maybe groups or something to only use this feature on specific channels or ignoring certain channels.

Anyway any help would be much appreciated ;D
Cheers!!

You could potentially map out the the white channels somehow. For instance configure the 70 spots on universes 1-70 channels 1-3. You would then use the virtual strings to combine those channels to the 1 output.
