I'm looking to have a sound play at a random time interval..  Ie: I have an inflatable Turkey and want to play a gobble sound every once in awhile, what would be the best approach with fpp?  My old setup (lightshow pi) I wrote a Python script to accomplish this..

Thanks so much for your help.

Likely the same python script that then calls the FPP REST api to start the playlist/sequence.
