Information on the F48V4 shows double the channels and universes of the F48 and will handle 6 receivers instead of 3.  It also states the new V2.01 receiver will work with the F48. With the original receivers allowing a chain of 3 and the new receivers allowing a chain up to 6, will the F48 handle 6 of the new receiver boards or is it limited to the 3 the F48 would originally handle.

As I understand it, the F48v3 uses the older smart receivers and are limit to three in a chain.  The new F48v4 uses the new 2.0x smart receivers and can have six in a chain.  They are not interchangable except when set up as dumb receivers (only one in a chain).
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.

Even if you use v2.01 receivers with the original F48 you are still limited to 3 in a chain and you need to use modes 7, 8, 9 rather than 1, 2, 3 on the dial from memory.
