Hello!

I have an idea that I believe would require creating a new OutputProcessor for FPP, but I am not sure where to start. Would this require creating a new plugin? Or would I need to modify the source code directly? I have looked through several other plugins and I am floundering a bit. I would really love to see this through and would love to get some help or advice if anyone is willing and able. I think I need a small push in the right direction just to get started.

Thank you!

Update! I was able to figure out how to edit the local source code and I created the OutputProcessor I was looking to make... or at least a workable version of it. Here are the steps I've been following... any comments on if it's possible to streamline this process or is there is a better way? It would be great if I could point my FPP device to pull from my github fork of fpp, but I'm not sure how to do that.
  • Set FPP UI to Developer mode
  • SSH into FPP (Raspberry Pi Zero W) and upload files that have been modified into /opt/fpp directory
  • Add files that need to be compiled to the makefile
  • "git add [file]" for each file that I have modified
  • From the FPP UI Developer tab, rebuild FPP
  • Test!

Thank you! :)
