Quote from: GregMM on October 22, 2023, 02:54:23 PMThis is what worked for me running as VM in ProxMox if anyone is having issues trying to install

create user during install: tempuser
login as tempuser
sudo -i                  #switch to root
passwd                #create a root password
#reboot / make sure you  can login as root before deleting temp user
deluser tempuser
rm -r /home/tempuser

apt-get install qemu-guest-agent acpid    #optional if running in ProxMox / qemu based VM
# not sure if the below are necessary (helped when trying to get the install script to run on debian so ran them before attempting to install on ubuntu)
apt-get install autopoint
apt-get install flex
apt-get install ccache
apt-get install build-essential

wget -O ./
chmod 700 ./
I've used this on two different PC's and everything installs and comes up as it is running but I can't access the web UI. I know the IP, I'm on the same subnet, I can ping it, I can SSH into it, from the local interface I can log in and ping IP's. just the web interface says connection refused. standard and secure.

what is the service that handles the web UI and how can I check that it is running from the command line.
BeagleBone Black Controllers / Re: K16A-B and Smart Receivers

Not on the K16.   With the K16, you can use all 16 local ports and still have all 16 ports on the differential ports AND all 16 ports on the expansion.

Thought I read that if I used a smart receiver connected to one of the RJ45 differential ports,I would loose a port on the board. Is that right or did I dream that?

I only have 2 ports left on the K16A-B and was thinking about using a receiver or just getting another K16/K32.
I had the same issue with two boards I have, and I plugged them into a different switch and it worked and got an address.

With the first switch, I had a ton of blinking lights on the ethernet port and it would say it was receiving e1.31 from my Madrix PC, but the ethernet address listed on the OLED screen would stay at When I tried to set a static IP with the buttons on the board, it would display the address, but I couldn't connect to it with a browser at that address, and it would still claim to be receiving data on the top line of the OLED.

It wasn't until I moved the box to my bench and plugged it into a different network cable that it worked. I still don't know what was up.

Cheers, Nathan

I shut it all down and walked away for a little bit and now it is all working.  I am unsure how since I had done that before and even upgraded to 7.5.  So it was all new. I appreciate all the help and ideas.  I also first tried it once I came back to it under edge instead of google and it worked there then I tried google and also worked.

Thank you again.

How about the output of:

Does that list all your sequences?

Can you try changing the scheduled item type from Playlist to Sequence and see if it lists your sequences?  I'm trying to determine if it is a general UI issue or just that it isn't getting the list of playlists.

Do you know how to go into the F12 developer mode in your browser and look at the console logs?  If you hit F12, it will open a new section of the browser UI and you should see a 'Console' tab.  Look at that tab and see if any JavaScript errors are listed.

I need to see the JSON that was returned by the validate call, copy and paste the contents here.

Also, you need to view the apache2-error.log file and see if there are any errors listed in that file.  If any errors are listed from around that time frame, copy and paste them into a message here.
