E1.31 A/C controllers?

Hey guys!  8)

Is anyone aware of a brand or model of AC controller that is able to receive its data via E1.31, instead of an RS485 network? I've really only had direct experience with the Animated Lighting LC-16 and the LOR CTB16PC in my daily life, when it comes to A/C controllers, but I doubt they will be leaving anytime soon.

I've had such difficulty with making xLights play nicely with LOR. It works, then it doesn't, then it works but not correctly, or these channels work but those don't, and it's been such a nightmare. If I could just issue the data as part of the rest of my E1.31 network in any given setup, it would make me a lot happier.

Also, I'm aware of sACN/DMX bridges, but haven't ever used one myself. Does anyone have any links to a recommended model? There's a ArtNet/DMX bridge here at the shop but I have no clue who made it, nor have I ever used it, or even messed with ArtNet anyways - the thing is more of a relic than something I've found useful.

I can't really use a bridge device as a practical option for my clients - too much added cost for every sale. The option could be a viable one for my own personal display, but not much beyond (thus, I'm still interested in finding a good one!). So, if you know of any such E1.31 A/C controllers, or have some other suggestion, I would very much like to hear it! Thanks!  ;D ;D ;D

the ss line and the tr line of renard controllers have esp8266 based adapters.  this is a wireless e1.31 to serial/dmx solution. If you want wired, I think someone was working on a nano based solution that could feed the serial but I don't have that resource at my fingertips.  maybe barnabybear?

Man, I found that sACN > DMX bridge on Ray Wu's store (not sure how I never saw it before), but  :o damn I wasn't expecting $90 for the thing.

$40-50, I was hoping.
Anyone know of any alternatives?

Thanks.

The PocketBeagle based F8-PB group buy going on right now can provide 8 universes of DMX (you'll need to make a cable) along with tons of pixels for $74.

Seriously, a bunch of the pixel controllers do have DMX outputs.  If you are doing anything with pixels, you should check your pixel controller.

You know, I feel stupid for not having thought of that before.. My mind was kinda stuck in LOR network mode, plus I've always had a direct 485 out on my old show player. Now, I would assume then that those channels would be set up as part of the E1.31 network in xLights, and board-configured for aiming them at the DMX output?

There are a few different very cheap options

Wireless

Or any of the esp pixel based controllers can be modified by adding .30 rs485 board.
I run all of my lor units wirelessly  with 3 boards hacked together.

A esp-01, esp-01 adapter, and a rs485 ttl to rs485 max board.
The adapter I use is less than $4.00.
