So I've been playing with FPP and I know how to set x lights to generic serial (I think that's what i need it in because it works) and send data out on the gpio pins to turn on and off solid-state relays. Well on my desk I have a pwm dimming module. i set the output on the gpio im using to pwm and in x lights I turned it from generic serial to pwm and nothing happens when pwm is enabled on FPP, on that gpio. If i turn pwm off the lights will light up plugged into the pwm dimmer but they won't dim.
I what im trying even possible?

What GPIO ports are you using for the PWM?
Only ports 12, 13, 18, and 19 are PWM capable.
What O/S are you on?
There was an issue with some of the PWM ports prior to 7.5 I believe.
Here is a link for Pi pinouts
