So... I think I made a mistake in my system design...  When deciding to switch from control boxes with F16v4's (usually with a ribbon cable expansion board or two) to F16v5's and the SRx2 or SRx4 boards in order to decentralize control box locations, I missed the text "The two/four receivers share pixel count."

So... if I have a SRx4 and I want to run 40FPS (which nearly all of my sequences are), then I'm limited to 706 pixels divided by 4 ports = only 176 pixels per port (assuming I use all 16 ports)?

Am I understanding this correctly?

What if I don't use all of the ports on the F16v5... Can I get more pixels/port out of the SRx4?

Yes, but is running at 40fps that critical?

No, the per port limitation is mostly a WS2811 timing restriction with a slight influence by the hardware.
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.
