I have the latest F48 that came out this summer, with a couple smart receivers v2.00

Instead of trying to learn 2 curves at once, Can I run the F48 from a signal from the PC, or do I need to use my RPi 4?

My tech in the past came from a website that many of us used to belong, But this would be the first year setting up fully in Falcon Gear. And I haven't used it yet. So this will be a crash course for me. I'm essentially running one element this year, to keep sequencing at a minimum and to get it up and running. I know I can run the prop directly from the side connections on the F48. So for now, I don't need to worry about the smart receivers yet.

I just need the simplest setup idea to get me started in Falcon gear with the F48.

Hey Chris, long time no hear.  The F48 can be run the F48 from a PC just like you used to run the Etherdongle, with E1.31.  The differences are that you can and should send the E1.31 in unicast instead of Multicast like the Etherdongle and you need to define your input on the F48 to tell it what to listen for,  You also need to define the outputs as I'm sure that you are aware of.  I have the older version of the F48 that requires the use of the smart cards and I think that you will find them pretty easy to configure,

Using FPP and the Pi is also pretty easy and is much more convenient than tying up a PC to run your show.  I think that you will really like the Falcon controllers and FPP once you start playing with them.
