I am wondering with the price of Pi's is a BBB could be used in place of a Pi for use with falcon and other controllers that are turned on remotely?

The BBB runs FPP and will send data to the controllers the same way that the Pi does while running FPP.  The only issue is what do you mean by "turned on remotely".

I have a mater controller (pi) that send out the signal to other controllers in my show.  I am running both Kulp and Flacon Controllers.  I need something that can work as the pi to send that remote signal from the mast to the other remote falcons.  Currently, that is a Pi, but I had a failure and they want an ungodly amount for a new pi.  I want to be able to connect to the falcon as I do with the pi.

Yes, the BBB can run FPP just like a RasPi.  The only real difference is if you have a PiHat on the RasPi, that can not be used on the BBB (but there are similar Capes for the BeagleBones), and if you are using the RasPi to drive a ColorLight card for P5 / P10 panels, you can't do that on the BBB.
From your description, neither of those apply.
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.

Any of your instances of FPP can be the master/player
