Transfer Player config to a new OS

I have a Pi player that was running 5.2 (if I recall), and I decided to do the update.

Being a man, I hit the update button - then read the instructions when it failed. The OS seems to boot, but there is no GUI. I could access the file shares and copy all the files off of the Pi.

I can't recall what version the OS was, but it needed an update as well.

My plan is to load a fresh new OS image, then copy the config files across.

My questions are:

1) Is there something I can try to get the existing Pi install running again? (do I need to grab some logs and post them here first?)

2) If I do load a new OS image on the Pi, what files do I need to copy across? I have the Pi talking to an F16 controller, so I have some specific network setup in addition to the sequences and other files.


Any suggestions?

To make it clear, I now have a Pi that has an old OS and 6.1 for the player version.

With 6.1 you should be able to click the Version number in the upper right and then from the next screen do the update to 6.2.
FYI: some devices have required a Power Cycle after upgrading to 6.2
