I have a really strange problem im hoping someone is going to have a facepalm solution for me

I have a p4 Matrix, running on the latest firmware (updated today trying to solve) ona  PI, it is in 'remote' mode and with the sequences uploaded locally, and is triggered from my Master PI. (same firmware)

- when i manually from my master, play a song there is no problems at all, looks fine.
- when i play from a "Playlist" 2/3 of my sequences are messed up on the screen, (distorted)

i have re-uploaded all my sequences, updated firmware, rebooted, thrown salt over left shoulder and done the no special smoke dance.

- it only happens from Playlist, so, i cant see it as a prop or config issue, unless im missing something somewhere.

attached image same sequence, once played form playlist, the other just manually started from status page.

I am not great at FPP troubleshooting but it is very likely a config issue. Just so we know, which version of FPP are you running?

See I got this right. You have FPP-master starting a sequence on FPP-remote using multi-sync. You should not be outputing anything from the master but sync packets. Do you happen to have anything configured on your output tabs on FPP-Master?

A trip into the zoom room might be helpful. If you do that, be sure to update your solution.

Version: v9.3-2-g6b65f422
I have also upgraded the PI today from a 3 to a 4 to see if that solved it, i think maybe it made a little bit of a difference but the problem still happens. I do notice if i "stop" and "start" FPP on the board it does resolve itself for 5 or so minutes before it messes up aagin.

I have my output tabs configured so the Master only talks to my other FPP boards

I have set the unit to Unicast, i did this to reduce unnecessary multicast network traffic, but both modes have the same problem

SCUBA

I might be wrong but uncheck the Unicast box for the FPP-LED-Matrix and see if that corrects the issue.

Originally it was unchecked, and i used Multicast, however is is more efficient network wise to use Unicast.
(have tried both ways does not solve the problem,

I do think the problem is local to the PI.

Restarting FPP (shutdown and STart)  fixes the problem, so as a stopgap solution im just running a remote script between each song to restart FPP on that board, and that has 'fixed it'  so far in my testing today.
