Looking for Strip recommendations

I'm looking to purchase some RGBW pixel strips. I'm hoping for these stats:

1. RGBW colors (Cold white)
2. 30 pixels per meter
3. 12v
4. Cuttable between each pixel
5. Black PCB

Anyone have any recommendations? I'm finding it hard to find something like this?

Also, I found this strip which has 4 pins, 12V, GND, Data and Backup Data. Does Falcon support these strips?

If it is hard to find, could be hard to get future support as well.  Something to think about.

Any ws281x controller (Falcon, Kulp, etc.) will work with those.  Use only 3 pins from controller to first pixel, leaving the backup line disconnected.  The backup data only goes between pixel-to-pixel and not controller-to-pixel

Any ws2811 controller (Falcon, Kulp, etc.) will work with those.  Use only 3 pins from controller to first pixel, leaving the backup line disconnected.  The backup data only goes between pixel-to-pixel and not controller-to-pixel
These are ws8215 strips, not ws8211.  Does the ws8211 protocol also support ws8215?

Yes, its the same protocol.  Some might call it the ws281x protocol because its the same for 2811, 2812, 2813, 2815, and 2818

The logic for the "backup data" is in the pixel chip, not the controller.  Thus, only 3 wires are needed from the controller (no backup data) to the 1st pixel in the string.  The 4th backup wire is only needed from pixel to pixel (or string to string) but not from the controller.

Quote from: w8one on August 26, 2021, 03:31:16 PMPixels are RGB no 'W' white. Turning on all 3 colors makes white.
That is not true, RGB pixels simulate white by turning on all 3 pixels but there are RGBW (and RGBWW) pixels that have an additional white (or Warm White) LED in them to give a better representation of white.

Usually 12v strips are 3 led's per chip, cuttable every 3 leds.
That is an option that you can choose but is no means the only option, there are many options of 12V pixels with 1 LED per chip and cuttable every pixel

Quote from: w8one on August 26, 2021, 03:31:16 PMLed strips tend to be more fragile than the regular node version with wire between each node.
I agree with that and when (not if) a pixel fails, it is far more difficult to repair.
