new to xlights. have large display of non rgb props and lights but am adding rgb pixels using 4 singing bulbs as my only falcon controlled prop to start.  I want the singing bulbs to start on demand by individuals pushing a physical wired switch and by pushing said switch my 5 singing bulb sequences will play
not sure how to set this up
i am running xlights, fpp on a Pi5 to a Falcon F16V5 controller
Essentially for this part of my display I want to activate the pi and controller and once the sequence is done, to turn off or go to idle mode, ready for the next push button person.  I also only want this button to be available for use between 5pm and 10pm and unresponsive outside of these hours
I see how to activate a Pi with a momentary switch but not clear if the fpp on it will automatically play the sequences or a command needs to be input to so do
appreciate any suggestions

Since a switch can be used to trigger many things (Turn off lights, turn on a fog machine, turn on a smart switch, etc.) you have to tell FPP what you want it to do when the switch is pressed.
Have you looked in the FPP Manual?

You are actually asking for several things that have to be done by you. There are some things that FPP will do. And then there are  pieces you have to add to your script or playlist.

GPIO to start a playlist is on Page 91. This is probably your best bet as a playlist can do lots of things for you. A playlist is a list of things you want to happen including playing a sequence.

This answer will address turning on/off the GPIO: https://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php?topic=16331.0
