Hi all,

I am looking to output a single atmosfx window video and combine the audio with an existing creepy sound/thunder audio and pixel sequence. If I'm reading the manuals right, I can run the video on a slave pi via fpp, or try to do something with directly with Scheduler in xlights, or, per the video section in the fpp manual,  just use the video (merged with my existing audio track) straight off my main fpp player (Raspberry Pi 4 Model B/4GB). Is there some definition of what that can handle? I can probably deal with SD or 720p, and only have 5 or 6 strands/props...

Does the direct file (no matrix) on player seem reasonable or is it not usually done that way?

F16v3, plus one remote
Fpp on rpi4

Thanks!

I have a Halloween show that uses 3 pis and 3 projectors (1 as a master and 2 remotes). I also use atmosfx. Each pi has it's on speaker so the sound is near the objects. You can use one pi for the video & sound and another one for the creepy/thunder sounds. To combine video and/or audio tracks, I use Pinnacle Studio.

Thanks, at the moment I just have one pi, and it seemed to me that the video section in the manual suggested that you can just use the main player output to send video, audio, and the sequence by simply using a video mp4 as the sequence media. I was hoping to just give this a shot. The main thin I ran into so far is on the fpp, when using the video as media, it asks which model to out on. I guess I would have assumed it was just straight to hdmi.

That is correct

You can send it to other props as well, in your case use HDMI
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

Excellent, Thanks.

I will guess that the "default" option is hdmi, as I didn't see hdmi in the pulldown. Will give this a go tonight.
