Title: F16V1, F8 and Falcon Pixelnet Hub Interest Thread for 2016

F16V1, F8 and Falcon Pixelnet Hub Interest Thread for 2016.

Trying to gauge interest for these Pixelnet based products. They will be all assembled and pricing is based off quantities required. Most likely will be handled from PixelController.com store front to keep the transactions straight. I estimate the prcing to be similar to last years group buy if quantities are in same ball park.

Is there a location that describes what these controllers do and the differences between them?  I tried a search and not coming up with many results.

They each have their own Forum entry. Also should be covered in the Wiki.

I still run F16v1 boards. They work great. I'd be interested in a couple of boards as back up boards.
Thanks David.

I couldn't find anything on the F-8 or Hub in the wiki.  Could you post a link?  The info in the forum topics explains some, but not too much, especially on the F-8.

The F16v1 and the F8 are basically pixelnet boards, ie. you feed them pixelnet signals not e1.31 signals.  They work great and  I run them along with DLA Lynx Active and Passive hubs.  An f16v2 receives e1/31 data and can output to lights, to a pixelnet controller, a LOR controller, a renard controller, etc.  So if you had an F16v2 you could use that instead of a DLA Etherdongle to generate the pixelnet.  Just my simple explanation.

Question - if I have a Fv2R it can run a hub or Fv1, correct? I know that I'll need more controllers for the massive amounts of pixels I need to buy, so couldn't I use my Fv2R as a master controller to drive a Fv1 or hub opposed to buying more Fv2Rs?

I know the Fv2R is awesome, but how many is too many? I assume you can never have to many but still.

Many people drive F16V1 and hubs from the F16V2.

Do you guys mind. I am going to place a table in the fist post to keep track of the numbers so I can get a quote. I am thinking of completely assembled.

Has interest in these totally died out? Or is the forum just low traffic this time of year?

Frank, "Pixelnet" seems to be dying off for the most part. Corey's uSSC/uAmp coop has very little interest in uSSCs.

This will probably be my last year of Pixelnet. I've got a few F16v1 boards running things (from an FPD on a RasPiB). Certainly nothing new is going to be Pixelnet. The four SSCs I've used for 3 years are out of service, being replaced by an F16B.

Hmmm... Sounds like time to rethink... Is f16v2 pushing 25ms refresh rates?

Yes. 25ms refresh rate.
