Ok, should I leave it on master branch?

Well, that shows that it DID detect the FPD.   If you turn off the "Show all options" box, does the page disappear now?

Unchecked and rebooted. Tab is missing! Ran the SUDO command again and it says detected. Also, one interesting thing is that FPD is outputting data and working. ???

dkulp

Can you do a manual update, reboot, and repost the log?    I'm trying to figure out why it's detecting it, but not recording it's detected properly.

Also, can you do a "cat ~fpp/media/settings" and let me know what the FalconHardwareDetected setting is set to when done?

Checked and Tab is still missing.

OK.  I was looking in completely the wrong place.   Should be fixed now.

Sorry to be a pain, but I still don't see the tab. Updated, rebooted, started and stopped FPPD then checked again. Then I checked the box again and I see see it, but not checking box automatically. Maybe there is something else I need to do.

BTW this is not something that has to be fixed right now. I'm good to use the checkbox. Just hit this thread or PM me the next time you need testing on this.

Thanks for your help,

Greg

I just updated my pi to fpp3.3 with an attached FPD (previously on 2.x masterbranch). The tab to setup the FPD did not show up. I had to go into advance settings and check box "show all options". Thanks to this thread I now know what to do. Thank you.
