One of my iTwinkle pathway lights stopped working as have the ones downstream of the bad bulb. It's one of the older models from 3 or 4 years ago and uses GECE protocol. Can I simply cut out the light and splice the rest of the line together like would be done for WS2811? I know GECE can be finicky sometimes and was wondering if anyone has tried this before?

If it is like the GECE bulbs, yes, you can cut out the bad one and replace it.  I have replaced several of my about 400 GECE bulbs this year.  The only catch is that as I understand the GECE protocol, you MUST power up the controller and the bulbs at the same time.  Normally this is not an issue since the vast majority of us are powering the bulbs from the controller.  However if you are not powering the bulbs from the controller, they need to power up together.  Sorry, I don't know much else about that, but it drove me nuts until someone told me that when I first installed them in 2014.
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.
