Hello all,

I don't know if this would be beneficial or not, but the Pi Top raspberry pi laptop is on sale for $45 with free shipping and no taxes.  If you add the speaker to your cart you get that free.

Looks like it would be good for prototyping with FPP since it has a breadboard with the GPIO pi header attached.  It also has a 14" screen with a battery and power supply, so it could be used as a battery back up for a master falcon player with a screen for monitoring purposes.  Unfortunately it is not directly compatible with a pi 4 but can be made to work with a few modifications.

Thanks for the info. I went ahead and ordered some.
You mentioned a pi4 can be used with some modifications.
Do you have a pi-top [3] your using with you RPI4?

I also ordered one and I don't have it yet.  Below is a link to the instruction on how to mod for a pi 4:

I ordered one of these, I think it will make a better mobile FPP Pi development system than the existing Pi Zero W I have attached to a USB dongle plugged into a small netbook.

My existing mobile Pi dev system is one of these:  https://www.amazon.com/MakerFocus-Raspberry-Required-Connector-Protective/dp/B07BK2BR6C/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=Pi%2BZero%2BUSB&qid=1659295542&sr=8-9&th=1

For anyone that has ordered these, have you received them?
I places an order July 31, CC was charged and no update on my order.
I've contacted them through email with no response.
Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue?

I was looking for this post, for some reason I thought this was on FaceBook.

I contacted them via their support email when I hadn't received any shipping information about a week after I ordered the Pi-Top 3.  I received an email back from Rez Nuru who told me that they were shipping all the US Pi-Top 3 orders in bulk to the US last week but that could take a few weeks and then the units would be shipped out to customers once they arrived in the US.  I assume this saves them on the free shipping offered.  He said he was sorry that this wasn't explained as part of the order process and offered to refund my money, but I said I'd wait.

I believe they also sold the Pi-Top via adafruit and DigiKey, so I'm wondering if they are shipping one of their US distributors a large order and the units will then be shipped to end users by the distributor.

I finally got an email response from Rez N and he did indicate delivery in mid September. I also told him I'd wait and not take the refund he offered.

It is nearly October and I have not received these yet. I have emailed Rez twice and have not heard back. I am guessing the free shipping included a slow boat from the UK.

This is the note I got on September 21

Where is your pi-top [3] order?

Greetings from pi-top.

To start, I want to extend sincere apologies for the delays you've experienced in your receipt of product from our July promotion. These delays are a direct result of some significant and unexpected delays in cargo delivery and shipping beyond our control. This is no reason to justify this delay, merely an explanation.

Here is the good news:

All orders will be shipped within the next 2-3 business days via priority delivery. You will receive tracking information with exact details of delivery via email.

I can't express our apologies enough, and I take ownership of the lack of proactive messaging on the status of these orders. Please feel free to reach me directly if you have ongoing issues.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Keith Kostrzewski

Got another apology letter today. Still waiting.
Seriously, I don't even remember what the PiTop was supposed to do but it must have been cool since I ordered.  8)  8)  8)

Have you received your order yet?
RezN and Keith, VP of sales have been silent in response to my emails.
I filed a claim with my CC company today since I never received my order.
What's up with this company?

Patience has been rewarded. My crazy green Pi-Top arrived yesterday. Pi-3b+ installed and running (using it for this).
