F48 V2.01 Locking up/rebooting

I have an F48 v1.01 board that has worked fine until the end of last year.  Last year if I tried to get into the string port settings to make a string change or save settings, the board would lock up or reboot.  Fortunately when I rebooted it, the show ran fine.  I am now trying to figure out how to being up the string port page to print off as I was able to get a replacement unit here a couple of weeks ago.  Just before it locks up or reboots the on board screen starts flashing and i see the word cache.  assuming this is a corrupted cache, how do I clear it and not erase the string settings?
