FPP and projector

If my phone can cast video to IP address of my projector wouldn't it be possible for FPP to do the same thing without an additional rpi?

I suspect you would still need an app of some kind.  I doubt the TV is just taking a plain old ethernet packet and putting it on a TV.  But wouldn't that be an interesting add on for FPP, ie. a casting plugin.
