FPP 6.2 Playlist/FPP Command/Run Script vs. Playlist/Script

I upgraded my FPP this year from old 4.x version to 6.2 (fresh install and then restored config backup). 
Everything seemed to work fine with one exception...  the "install/restore config" changed the "script" entries in my playlists to "FPP Command/Run Script" and these scripts (simple StaticOn / StaticOff scripts) don't seem to get executed.
 
Example StaticOn_Wings.sh Script:

MODEL="AngelWings-Wings"
# Turn on the model in overlay mode
fppmm -m ${MODEL} -o on
# Turn on all the channels in the model by setting their values to 255
fppmm -m ${MODEL} -s 255

The model " AngelWings-Wings" is set as single channel, 1 Ch/Node. The script file is located in the ~fpp/media/scripts directory and has permissions:
-rwxr-xr-x  1 fpp fpp 1650 Jan 27  2022 StaticOn_Wings.sh

If I manually edit the Playlist entries to "Script" vs "FPP Command/Run Script" then the scripts seem to work OK.

Could someone please explain the difference between the two? Is one preferred over the other?
If the "FPP Command/Run Script" is the preferred method then is there any log that might be helpful in debugging the problem?

In the meantime, I'm up and running with the "Script" playlist entry so no rush.
