K8-B-Scroller needs updated EEPROM Signature?

Background story of how I got to were I am.

I bought a K8-B-Scroller last year for a small mega-tree (600 pixels).  I know way more controller than needed for that, but it was the only thing available at the time and it allowed expansion possibilities in the future.  It worked well last year, but on the last day of the year we had a storm and a couple of pixels went out.  Instead of fixing them at that time, I just put it in storage.  In late October/early November I pulled everything out to fix the pixels and I was planning to expand the tree to 1200 pixels or possibly more.  I connected the strings up to the controller and started it up, all was working as when I put it up for the summer.  As I was working on getting the broken pixels repaired, I noticed there was new version of FPP available (6.2 if I remember correctly), so I decided to upgrade to the latest version (mistake #1, I should have waited until after the holidays).  I had a series of issues and multiple times backing out and reinstalling 5.5 and re-patching.  I finally got it mostly working except for a Wi-Fi issue and the controller not able to run the show.  I think this was because in my patching (mistake #2) I overwrote by initial SD card with FPP from KulpLights, so I lost the K8-B-Scroller Configuration.  Then life happened and I was not able to look at this again until this weekend.  I realize I may not be able to get the tree up this year since it is so late, but would like to figure this issue out.

The issue at hand.

The pixels work by adding the F8-B (v2) EEPROM.  I chose it as it seem to be the closest to the K8-B-Scroller, but it is restricting the number of pixels on each port to 50 and seems to indicate that I need a license.  It was my understanding the KulpLights boards did not need a license.  Is this the correct EEPROM to use?  Or do I need to get a specific one for the K8-B-Scroller?  If so, where can I find it?

thank you,
Dale

But it is a totally different controller, "close enough" doesn't work.

They do not and you do not need to install a Virtual EEPROM

Absolutely not, can you put a Chevy motor in a Ford? LOL

It should be installed already...

I thought it was on one of the Input Output -> Channel Outputs tabs/pages, but I don't see it anymore.  Before installing I only had 3 tabs/pages "E1.31/ArtNet/DDP/KiNet", "LED Panels" and "Other", after installing the "F8-B" tab showed up as well.  It may have been on the CapeInfo -> EEprom Update page, although it has changed now.

I meant to do this earlier, but could not figure out how to attach a picture here.  I figured it out now.

It seems that my controller is no longer sending output.  It worked for a while, but now is no longer working.  Below is the error on the status page... Seems to be an issue with the EEPROM... which from your response is expected.

I remember having a 4th tab for the K8-B-Scroller last year that had the same outputs as the F8-B Output Page.

Thank you for the response and not being too rough on me.  I know it is a busy time.  All help is appreciated.

Send me an email to sales at kulplights.com and I'll get the proper eeprom out to you.  Without the right eeprom, the panels ports will definitely not work at all.
