Looking to add a Wi-Fi antenna to my Raspberry Pi 3B+, and establish a Wan1. what chipset does the Wi-Fi adaptor need to be, that FPP will recognize?
currently I have one with a RT 3070 chipset and its not recognized by FPP.

rayster

The RT 3070 is a video chipset. Most any Wifi adapter that will work with Linux will work. And the 3 B+ has wifi built in. So what are you trying to do?

@rayster, was looking to add better WiFi capability to the Pi so it can stay online to receive webhook requests. its going to be in the very front of the yard and the home router is far enough away that the signal is weak.

the Pi is attached to the back of the P5 panel setup and inside the case, so a better WiFi antenna should help keep it online, without it falling off due to weak signals

So I am using the one JonD mentioned with a SMA to SMA extension to put the antenna on the out side of the controller box.
