P10 cad files

I've finally found a local guy who can take a cad file and drill holes in some acrylic perfectly spaced, so long as I can get him a dxf file. Being a mac guy and never done anything with cad drawings before I download qcad and started playing with it this evening. Before I go too far and try to re-invent the wheel I've found this pdf file.

I am using Ray WU p10 panels, which I assume use the same bracket and hole measurements. What i'm wondering though is the bus and power locations on those boards. Does anyone have the measurements on where they are or how big a hole I should use? If anyone has a drawing they can share let me know...otherwise I'll continue down the path i'm on to see what I can figure out.

I was going to take the approach of just drilling myself, but for a few bucks extra the guy in the shop can do it for me. All this is the back board. I may even be able to get him to do drilling in wood and probably get a stiffer outcome. With 38x50" matrix i'm creating having a solid backing on these panels is going to be important for me.

Once I have the panels properly mounted on the back panel, i'll create the frame and then use another piece of acrylic across the front and make sure it's all weather proof. still concerned bit about condensation but will cross that bridge down the road.

Looks like the drawing is miss the edge to hole locations. Assuming everything comes from center they can be figured out. Running a machine shop assuming dimensions has gotten me I trouble several times. Having a sample panel is the only shure way to lay out the pattern.

See...when I see things missing from Chinese specs I get worried...they make one assumption and I make another....I'll hunt around google for a bit more today and see if I can find something else or maybe even reach out to Ray and ask if he has seen a cad file.

The guy did mention having two panels would be the best way to do it as he could then see how big a hole is needed to feed power and the data cable through. So far I'm looking at $80 for the sheet of polycarbonate, i'm gonna guess once I add in some labour costs i'm going to be 2-3x the cost. Maybe I'll stick with the original plan/design. Hmmmm...i'll do some more prototyping with a small matrix and see what I can come up with.  Thanks for the comment.

I know when Aussy Phil was making his P10 mounts there were at least two different panel types. Ray's were not the same as the ones Phil had. So he had to make the mount differently. I would definitely make sure you have one of the panels that you plan to use in hand.

It was worse than that, Ray sells two different $11 panels.  You can design a mount to fit both, but you need to have access to both first!

I know I have two different P10 panels/frames currently, but from what I can tell the 10 screw locations around the perimeter are all in the same location. Some of my panels have 6 posts and some have 8 posts.
